Directions to the Event Site

The most perfect site in years. Along the banks of the Mississippi and on the bluff's overlooking where the two rivers meet. This site is beautiful with slight rolling hills and roads of bark and light gravel. The camps are in groomed and maintained wooded locations that are PRISTINE in all views as well as the entire route (approx. 4 miles) of the battle including two (2) very large (hundreds of acres) final (Sunday) battlefields that are open but lined by woods and valley's.

The entire site is almost weather proof (except tornado's and hurricanes) with simple and easy access to both camps and all fields, including two "drill fields" for unit and or brigade drill on Friday and Saturday.

Civilian are welcome and encouraged to attend but MUST be prepared to move with the soldiers. (Camps may be left behind) Each Army will be responsible for their civilians to move and protect as well as any wagons and supplies.

YOU MUST PRE REGISTER----------- NO WALK ON'S

Usual amenities, Hay, wood, straw, water, and there is a building on the back side (out of view) where showers will be available on Fri. Night and Sat. before 3:00 PM. Parking is excellent even in the event of rain. Prefer campaign camping but tents are fine, NO MODERN CAMPERS.

Located about 2 miles off Interstate 270 in North St. Louis County (between Alton and Grantie City on the Missouri Side of the River.
