Colonel Martinez to Command Division Cavalry Brigade

It is my pleasure to  announce that Col. Jesse Martinez, the commander of our second Brigade will be taking over as Interim Field commander for the Division Cavalry Brigade. I hope you will all join with me in congratulating Jesse who had done a magnificent job in his role as 2nd Battalion commander. Since his appointment in 2007, the Battalion now commands a roster of over 130 members.  I have every confidence that he will make all the right decisions in my temporary leave as the commander of the First Federal Division.

I have asked Col. Ron Orange and Col. Michael Cheaves to come with me to Division staff where they will work more efficiently with me in direct contact and cooperation with Jesse to help make this transition as easy as possible for all members. Please give him the same terrific cooperation you have given me over the years. I will continue to work with Jesse in any situation that he feels needed for the welfare of the Brigade.
