Division Cavalry Brigade, Inc.
The Cavalry Brigade for
the 1st Federal Division
Change
of Command — First Federal Division
July 31, 2009
The First
Federal Division has met and elected Colonel Crowder as Commander of the First
Federal Division. In classic Army style, the promotion offers no
additional pay, excruciating responsibility, and absolutely no authority.
The lack of official authority might mean something if it wasn't for the quality
of the man assuming the role. In our case we know the authority that
Colonel Crowder brings to the table. His years in service, respect and
dignity afforded to his men, and devotion to the cause of Preservation and
historic integrity is no secret to us. The First Federal Division gives a
ringing endorsement in their
posting:
Col. Crowder is the senior Brigade commander and has been involved with the Division since its inception. He is the only founding colonel still serving in that role today. His long time commitment to continued improvement for all is felt by each Brigade and its members. Serving as commander at a number of large events in the past he will bring the experience, ability and knowledge to assist in the continued welfare and growth of this Division for each Brigade and each Branch thereof.
Congratulations Colonel Crowder. We are all honored and look forward to serving under your able leadership.
